ANSIBLE VENTURES is a dedicated Pre-Seed and Seed fund, based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. We work with ambitious teams in the trenches from the outset as a trusted co-founder. We invest in high-margin, fast-growing technology companies that are pursuing huge market opportunities.

Ansible’s checks range from $0.1M-$1M. We are comfortable leading rounds, and are open to co-invest with other partners. We commit to partner with founders who think differently and move the world forward.

We are sector agnostic, but our core areas of expertise include consumer Internet, SME/MSMEs software, and web3 applications.

Our Team

Valerie Van Vu Founding Partner

Valerie founded Ansible Ventures in Vietnam in 2022. Previously, she served as Vietnam Country Head for Venturra Capital, where she led over a dozen investments from 2020 to early 2022. From 2016 to 2019, she worked at Deloitte U.S. as a senior consultant where she advised hedge funds, private equity funds and other investment management clients. Valerie graduated magna cum laude in 2016 from Temple University’s Fox School of Business with a major in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Pennsylvania. She also founded Career Opportunities in Vietnam (COVN), providing advice to aspiring professionals and co-hosted Forward Vietnam Podcast.

Jim Quismorio Partner

Jim Quismorio is the principal and CEO of Alto Partners. Jim began his career in 1994 as an M&A banker on Wall Street at Lehman Brothers, rising to Managing Director in 2006 in charge of corporate M&A and strategy in the Asia Executive Office. Jim was part of the senior Management Committee which closed the historic sale of Lehman Brothers’ international businesses to Nomura in 2008. He retired from the industry in 2012 and established the Alto Partners family office with several senior executives from TPG, KKR and Northstar. Jim graduated double Magna Cum Laude with a BS from the Wharton School of Business and a BA in Asian Studies from the University of Pennsylvania in 1994. He also studied economics at Waseda in Japan and is proficient in written and spoken Japanese. He currently sits on the advisory board for several Asia-based start-ups.

Chi Phan Investor

Chi joined The Tie as Research Analyst in 2022. Previously, he led the crypto research analyst team of a $100M AUM family office investment fund from early 2020 until early 2021. After writing his first cryptocurrency research in early 2019, he has continued to publish research and blogs about the fundamentals of the blockchain industry until the present. Chi graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2022 from Western Michigan University’s Haworth College of Business majoring in Finance and minoring in Statistics. He also founded and co-hosted Forward Vietnam Podcast.
